Flight arriving late, Air Arabia Maroc owes you compensation

The rights and obligations of passengers within the European Union are governed by Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004. The document sets out the conditions and procedures to be followed to obtain the airline reimbursement and compensation.

The Carrier may refuse boarding if the passenger does not comply with one of the points of the carrier’s regulations and if this constitutes a threat to safety, for example in the following cases:

– The passenger is under the influence of alcohol,
– The passenger attempted to bring on board prohibited articles or articles which constitute a threat to the safety of others and of theft.

If the passenger does not comply with the relevant provisions of the carrier’s regulations, he will be denied boarding without the right to compensation.

What is overbooking?

Overbooking is the practice of airlines selling more tickets than the number of seats available on the plane.
Carriers including Air Arabia Maorc rely on an insightful analysis of flight occupancy, and information on the average percentage of passengers not present at check-in, to set overbooking limits. This is how it is unlikely that we will be denied boarding.

If you choose to volunteer:

However, if this were the case, the carrier should seek volunteers who would agree to give up their seats and take the next available plane. In the absence of such persons, the carrier himself designates the passengers. The carrier must pay appropriate compensation, depending on the route taken, ranging from 250 to 600 euros. If there are no more flights on the same day, the carrier also provides overnight accommodation and possible transportation.
Whenever the carrier refuses to embark on a passenger and is responsible for it, EU Regulation No. 261/2004 requires the carrier to inform the passenger in writing of the compensation procedure, and how we can provide help.

Remember that in each case of denied boarding, the presence of the passenger at the time of check-in is mandatory so that he can claim compensation.

If the flight never leaves

If a flight is canceled and postponed or completely canceled, the airlines are obliged to find another flight for the passenger or to reimburse the flight costs in full.

Lost baggage on arrival of the flight

Airlines are responsible for the destruction or loss of checked baggage. Check what you can demand if your luggage is destroyed, lost or damaged by air carriers (Damage is noted on arrival).

Air Arabia Maroc must provide you with assistance

The Moroccan carrier must also provide its passengers trapped at the airport (after having postponed their departure) with food and accommodation, if the replacement flight is provided for consecutive days, unless the carrier reserves the right to right to waive this obligation, in the regulations that we accept when purchasing the ticket.

If you have chosen to be reimbursed for the flight costs, the carrier must do so within 7 days of receiving your reimbursement request.

A long delay is displayed when your plane arrives

Depending on the duration of the scheduled flight, if the delay exceeds 2 to 4 hours, the carrier must pay for food, hotel accommodation or other services. To obtain any compensation or compensation, the passenger must arrive at the check-in counter on time.

In the event of a delay of more than 5 hours, you have the right to ask the airline company for full reimbursement of flight costs and, in addition, adequate compensation.

When is it possible to claim compensation from Air Arabia Maroc?

Please note that the possibility of claiming compensation does not depend on a delayed departure, but on a late arrival at destination. In addition, we are not entitled to compensation if the delay is due to force majeure, for example weather conditions.
