According to art. 9 of the regulations, it is the duty of the company to provide refreshments and catering taking into account the waiting time, hotel accommodation (one or more nights depending on wait), airport transport- hotel (or other) and two phone calls (or messages), all for free.

– Right to be informed

European regulations impose on companies information requirements for travelers. A clearly visible sign should direct you to go to the reception counter or the boarding gate to obtain a copy informing them of your rights in the event of cancellation, denied boarding or delay.

– Right to be redirected (return flight)

According to art. 8, passengers can be redirected to their final destination, under comparable transport conditions and as soon as possible. Re-routing to a later date is also possible.

– Right to reimbursement of the ticket

The reimbursement must be made within seven days.

– Right to be compensated

It all depends on the cause of the cancellation, whether it is extraordinary or not, and when the passenger is informed. If it is an ordinary cause, a fixed price is granted according to the number of kilometers: 250 euros for all flights of 1500km or less, 400 euros for all intra-Community flights of more than 1500 km and for all others flights from 1500 km to 3500 km, 600 euros for all flights that do not fall under the above-mentioned points (i.e. more than 3500 km).

If the flight takes place alone, international conventions apply, in particular European Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 which grants protection and rights to passengers in the event of denied boarding against will, delays and cancellations not attributable to them.
